2010 Workshops for Davis Graveyard University (DGU)

Based on feedback from our survey we took at the beginning of the year we are offering 2 new workshops along with our most popular tombstone workshop. We will again hold 2 tombstone workshops in order to give more people a chance to attend with 2 sessions each day if needed. The new Molding and Casting workshop was one of the most popular in our survey. This new workshop require a materials fee to be paid prior to your place being reserved. The workshop fee can be paid the day of the workshop.

Don't forget to mention which workshop and session and provide a phone number. Children 16 and over are allowed with paying guardian. Workshop fees are paid the day of the workshop.

Tombstone Workshops
Saturday July 31th
Session 1  9am-1pm  1/2 FULL
Session 2  2pm-6pm  1/2 FULL

Saturday August 28nd
Session 1  9am-1pm  Just over 1/2 FULL
Session 2  2pm-6pm  Lots of room left

 $40 per person for 1 session ($20 for partners). Space is limited to 12 tombstones per session. Afternoon sessions are reserved for overflow or people who can’t attend in the morning. Once registered you must submit your simple epitaph 1 week prior to the workshop.

Just bring payment the day of workshop once registered.

Molding and Casting Weekend 
Saturday & Sunday   August 14th and 15th 
Day 1 - 9am to 3pm 
Overview, prepare your skull for casting, apply 4 coats of brush on rubber. You will practice casting with some premade molds while waiting.

Day 2 -  9am to 2pm
Apply one half of your plastic outer mold. Apply the 2nd half, demold the skull, and cast a skull with expanding foam.

Workshop is half FULL with only a few slots left

Both days will include a 1hr lunch break.
 
 $100 prepaid materials and $50 per person for the weekend ($25 for partners).  Space is limited to 15 molds.    Each person will make a skull mold and cast it using expanding foam to take home. Each person’s molding and casting starter kit will contain enough material to make more small molds and cast several more skulls at home.
